In Siero, the La Acebera trail forms part of the Principality of Asturias’ official greenway network. It is 3.9 km long. It is for pedestrian use only.
The route goes from Estación de RENFE de Lugones - Finca Santa Bárbara - Capilla del Buen Suceso - Estación de RENFE de Lugones. Its low difficulty and gentle gradients make it suitable for families, with no previous hiking experience needed.
It is promoted by Principality of Asturias, within the Asturias Greenways Catalogue (2011). As across the whole network, it is worth checking the current state of the signage before setting off: more than a decade has passed since the official cataloguing.
